The 2007-08 campaign was a turbulent, hard-fought season for Piacenza as the Biancorossi ultimately secured a crucial 15th-place finish in Serie B, marking their fifth consecutive year in the Italian second tier. Despite a mid-season managerial change from Felice Secondini to Mario Somma, the club managed to steer clear of the relegation battle. Leading the charge with vital goals was the forward Zlatko Dedič, whose 10 goals across all competitions were decisive in a campaign built on resilience and the determined support of the 3,170 average home crowd. It was a stressful but successful fight to maintain their Serie B status and remains a defining chapter in the club's modern history.
