Notes

The 2007 San Diego Padres season was a highly competitive campaign that saw the team remain in the hunt for a division title until the very end, ultimately finishing with a strong 89-74 record. Under manager Bud Black, the team was anchored by a phenomenal pitching staff led by Cy Young Award winner Jake Peavy, who achieved the rare pitching Triple Crown by leading the league in wins, ERA, and strikeouts. Despite narrowly missing the postseason in a thrilling one-game wild card tie-breaker, the season was highlighted by the consistent power of Adrian Gonzalez and the legendary presence of Trevor Hoffman, who continued to excel in his role as one of the game's greatest closers.
