Notes

The 2007 New York Giants achieved one of the greatest "Cinderella stories" in NFL history by winning Super Bowl XLII. After a difficult 0-2 start, the team rallied to finish 10-6 and secured a wild-card berth. Led by quarterback Eli Manning and a relentless pass rush featuring Osi Umenyiora and Michael Strahan, they became the first NFC team to win three road playoff games to reach the Super Bowl. Their historic season culminated in a dramatic 17-14 victory over the previously undefeated New England Patriots, highlighted by the iconic "Helmet Catch" by David Tyree. A second-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, Steve Smith was a Pro Bowl wide receiver for the New York Giants who set a then-franchise record with 107 receptions in 2009 and played a key role in the team's Super Bowl XLII victory.
