Notes
The 2008-09 campaign was a season of soaring ambition and ultimate heartbreak for Cardiff City as The Bluebirds finished 7th in the Championship, agonizingly missing the play-offs. This pivotal year marked the club's final season at their historic home, Ninian Park, and was defined by the stunning form of Scottish talisman Ross McCormack, whose 21 league goals led the line. Despite being firmly in the top six, a spectacular late-season collapse, famously dubbed "doing a Cardiff", saw them lose their play-off spot on the final day, turning what should have been a triumphant farewell to Ninian Park into a painful, unforgettable chapter.
