Notes
The 2008-09 campaign delivered a crucial Serie A survival for Catania as Rossazzurri finished a respectable 15th, securing their top-flight status for another year. Leading the charge was the beloved local hero Giuseppe Mascara, whose 12 crucial goals proved decisive in a season built on fierce home form and tactical grit under manager Walter Zenga. It was a vital year that cemented the club's position in the Italian top-flight and remains a defining chapter in their modern history.
