The 2008-09 campaign delivered a season of mid-table consolidation and managerial change for Dundee FC as The Dark Blues ultimately finished a respectable 4th in the Scottish First Division. Leading the charge was the powerful forward Mickaël Antoine-Curier, whose 14 league goals proved vital in a campaign built on overcoming early turbulence and a strong second half under the returning manager Jocky Scott. It was a poignant year, also marked by the passing of Chairman Eddie Thompson, but one that cemented the club's competitive edge in the second tier.
