The Czech defender had joined La Viola from Brno the previous season but had sturggled for game time in his first year in Florence making just 2 apparances. This season he made no senior appearances and spent the bulk of the campaign with the U-19 squad. Mazuch was loaned out to Belgium outfit Anderlecht in 2009-10 and later made the move to Brussels permanent before going on to enjoy spells with Dnipro, Sparta Prague and Hull City.
