Notes

The 2008-09 campaign was a fairytale debut for TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, as Hoffe exploded onto the scene to finish a sensational 7th. The season was defined by an unbelievable first half that saw the newly-promoted side top the table, led by the stunning form of Bosnian striker Vedad Ibišević, whose 18 goals in the first 17 games proved decisive. Though a mid-season injury to Ibišević dramatically curtailed their title challenge, the campaign remains an unforgettable chapter in the club's history and a proud, emotional display of attacking football.
