Notes

The 2008-09 campaign delivered a fourth consecutive Scudetto for Inter Milan as the Nerazzurri clinched the Serie A title in José Mourinho's debut season. Leading the charge was the talismanic striker Zlatan Ibrahimović, whose league-best 25 goals, dramatically sealed with a famous final-day back-heel, earned him the Capocannoniere title. The side, which also secured the Supercoppa Italiana and featured a revitalized Adriano, was built on domestic dominance, though their European ambition was ended by Manchester United in the Champions League Round of 16. It was a dominant year that cemented Ibrahimović's place in club history and heralded the start of the 'Special One' era.
