Notes
The 2008-09 season solidified Fernando Torres as a world-class force, defined by his electric pace and clinical finishing that famously spearheaded Liverpool’s title charge. This era was headlined by his masterclass against Real Madrid at Anfield and a legendary performance at Old Trafford, where he outmuscled Nemanja Vidic to ignite a historic 4-1 victory. Despite facing injury spells, El Nino remained the Reds' most potent threat, finishing the campaign with 17 goals across all competitions and cementing his status as a beloved icon of the Kop.
