Notes

The 2008-09 campaign was a season of immense fortitude and dramatic challenge for Rotherham, as The Millers finished 14th in League Two, a position dramatically impacted by a devastating 17-point deduction due to a breach of Football League insolvency rules. Amidst this turmoil, young striker Reuben Reid emerged as the star, delivering 18 crucial league goals and anchoring a side that also enjoyed a notable run to the Fourth Round of the Football League Cup. The season, played at the temporary Don Valley Stadium, remains a defining chapter of the club's defiance and a testament to the grit of the squad that battled through severe off-field adversity.
