The 2009-10 campaign delivered a competitive, celebratory season for Bury as The Shakers finished a respectable 9th in League Two, narrowly missing out on the play-offs. Marking the club's 125th anniversary, the season was spearheaded by talismanic striker Ryan Lowe, whose prolific return of 18 league goals proved decisive under manager Alan Knill. The campaign, which saw the team achieve a strong final position, was built on solid foundations and remains a key chapter of consolidation in the club's modern history.
