Notes

The 2009-10 campaign delivered a season of stabilization for Espanyol, as Los Pericos finished a respectable 11th in La Liga under manager Mauricio Pochettino. The attack was spearheaded by the charismatic forward Dani Osvaldo, whose 7 league goals after his January loan arrival proved crucial. It was a pivotal year built on formidable home form at their new Cornellà-El Prat stadium, which was decisive in consolidating their top-flight status and remains a defining chapter in the club's modern history.
