The 2009-10 campaign delivered a tense fight for survival for Leyton Orient as The O's finished a precarious 17th in League One, just one point above the relegation zone. Leading the charge was the veteran striker Scott McGleish, whose crucial 12 goals anchored the attack in a turbulent season marked by a mid-season managerial change from Geraint Williams to Russell Slade. It was a nervy year that saw the club cling on to their League One status, which remains a pivotal, if stressful, chapter in the club's modern history.
