The 2009-10 season showcased Fernando Torres' world-class finishing as he spearheaded the Liverpool attack, most memorably with his clinical opening goal against Manchester United at Anfield. Despite grappling with injuries, El Nino remained a talismanic figure for the Reds, netting 22 goals across all competitions and delivering masterclass performances in Europe, including a vital brace against Lille to drive the team toward the Europa League semi-finals.
