Notes

The 2009 Minnesota Vikings enjoyed a spectacular season, finishing with a 12-4 record and clinching the NFC North title behind the historic addition of quarterback Brett Favre. Led by a league-high 10 Pro Bowlers and an explosive offense featuring Adrian Peterson and Sidney Rice, the team achieved a dominant 34-3 playoff victory over the Dallas Cowboys and advanced to the NFC Championship Game. The 2010 Minnesota Vikings season was a memorable 50th anniversary campaign highlighted by resilient individual performances despite a challenging 6-10 finish. Legendary quarterback Brett Favre concluded his historic career with the franchise, while star running back Adrian Peterson earned Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors after rushing for 1,298 yards and 12 touchdowns. The season also featured the exciting mid-season return of wide receiver Randy Moss and a notable late-season victory over the playoff-bound Philadelphia Eagles under interim head coach Leslie Frazier. The Minnesota Vikings remained a competitive force in the NFC North during the 2010s, highlighted by playoff appearances and standout individual performances. The decade was defined by running back Adrian Peterson's historic 2012 MVP season and the team’s 2017 "Minneapolis Miracle" run to the NFC Championship Game. Additionally, the franchise successfully opened the state-of-the-art U.S. Bank Stadium and developed perennial All-Pro talents like safety Harrison Smith and defensive end Danielle Hunter. A 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee and three-time NFL MVP, Brett Favre concluded his legendary career by leading the Minnesota Vikings to the 2009 NFC Championship Game.
