The 2009-10 campaign was a season of dramatic resurgence and near-miss for Rotherham United as The Millers secured a crucial 5th-place finish in League Two to qualify for the play-offs. Leading the charge was the clinical striker Adam Le Fondre, whose 25 league goals (27 total) proved decisive in a campaign built on attacking brilliance under manager Ronnie Moore. It was a standout year that culminated in a dramatic final at Wembley against Dagenham & Redbridge and remains a defining chapter of ambition for The Millers.
