The 2011-12 campaign saw Chievo Verona, under the steady guidance of Domenico Di Carlo for much of the season, secure a very respectable 10th-place finish in Serie A. Leading the charge for the Gialloblu was their legendary captain Sergio Pellissier, whose 8 crucial league goals anchored a consistent season and saw him win his fourth Cangrande award.
