Notes

The 2011-12 campaign was a season of dramatic resurgence for Everton, as The Toffees finished a strong 7th in the Premier League and famously finished above rivals Liverpool. The season was utterly transformed by the sensational January arrival of Croatian striker Nikica Jelavić, whose immediate, lethal impact saw him score 9 league goals in only 13 appearances, earning him the Premier League Player of the Month award for April. Jelavić's form, alongside the crucial returning loan spells of Steven Pienaar and Landon Donovan, anchored a stunning late-season surge that saw the club lose just three of their last 23 matches. This incredible momentum also powered a memorable run to the FA Cup Semi-Final at Wembley, cementing the season as a defining chapter in which The People's Club defied their budget and welcomed an instant Goodison hero.
