Notes

The 2011-12 campaign delivered a triumphant return to glory for Galatasaray as Cimbom, under the returning legendary manager Fatih Terim, clinched the Süper Lig championship via the dramatic Süper Final. Leading the charge up front was the relentless Johan Elmander, whose 12 league goals were vital, supported by new iconic signings like the midfield tandem of Selçuk İnan and Felipe Melo and the heroics of goalkeeper Fernando Muslera. The title was dramatically sealed on the final day with a tense 0-0 draw away against bitter rivals Fenerbahçe, a defining, unforgettable match that secured a prized spot in the Champions League and marked the true beginning of a new golden era for the club in the new Türk Telekom Arena.
