Notes

The 2011-12 campaign delivered a tense, dramatic survival for Granada as El Graná secured a crucial 17th-place finish in La Liga, marking their spectacular and hard-fought return to the top flight after a 35-year absence. The season was a battle built on sheer grit and defense, with survival secured on the dramatic final day of the season. Leading the charge was the surprising combination of left-back Guilherme Siqueira and loanee forward Odion Ighalo, both of whom jointly topped the league scoring charts with 6 goals apiece, providing the decisive strikes that cemented their top-flight status. It was a triumphant year that fulfilled the long-awaited dream of the club's passionate fans and remains a defining chapter in El Graná's modern history.
