Notes
The 2011-12 campaign delivered a tense, inconsistent season for Groningen as The Pride of the North finished 14th in the Eredivisie, just securing their top-flight status above the relegation play-off spots. Uruguayan forward David Texeira led the line with 8 crucial goals, while Dušan Tadić provided nine assists in a campaign marked by a mid-season managerial change. Despite the overall struggles, the team showed resilience in big matches, notably keeping the most clean sheets in the league against the Top 5 opponents, a defining element of their hard-fought survival.
