Notes

The 2011-12 campaign was a season of rejuvenation and the dawn of a new star for Lazio, as the Biancocelesti secured a crucial 4th-place finish in Serie A under manager Edoardo Reja, earning a coveted spot in the Europa League. Spearheading the charge was the sensational new free-transfer signing, Germany legend Miroslav Klose, whose 13 league goals anchored the attack and re-energized the squad. The season's defining moment was Klose's dramatic last-gasp winner against rivals Roma in the Derby della Capitale, a victory that sent the Olimpico faithful into delirium and solidified Klose's place as an instant club hero. The year, which also saw the arrival of players like Djibril Cissé and Federico Marchetti, established Lazio back amongst the league's elite.
