Notes

The 2011-12 campaign was a historic breakthrough for Málaga CF as Los Boquerones, fueled by the ambitious investment of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Thani and guided by manager Manuel Pellegrini, surged to a spectacular 4th-place finish in La Liga. This landmark result was the club's highest-ever league position and secured their first-ever qualification for the UEFA Champions League play-offs. Leading the line was the prolific Venezuelan striker Salomón Rondón, whose 11 crucial league goals powered an exciting side featuring world-class new signings like Santi Cazorla, Joaquín, Jérémy Toulalan, and the emerging talent of Isco. It was a golden, unforgettable year that marked a dramatic entry into Europe's elite and remains the pinnacle of the club's modern history.
