Notes

The 2011-12 campaign was a season of European glory and domestic silverware for Olympique Marseille, despite ultimately slumping to a 10th-place finish in Ligue 1. Under the guidance of Didier Deschamps, Les Phocéens clinched the Trophée des Champions and the Coupe de la Ligue, but the true drama lay in the UEFA Champions League. OM reached the Quarter-finals, a run defined by a dramatic group stage comeback against Borussia Dortmund, secured by Mathieu Valbuena's late winner, and the nerve-shredding victory over Inter Milan in the Round of 16. Leading the line was the prolific Loïc Rémy, whose 12 league goals (and 20 overall) anchored the attack in an unforgettable season that saw the club reach the European elite and remains a defining chapter of the modern era at the Stade Vélodrome.
