Notes

The 2011-12 campaign was the dramatic starting point for a new era at Paris Saint-Germain, as the club, newly flush with Qatari Sports Investments money, shattered the French transfer record to sign Javier Pastore and brought in stars like Thiago Motta and Jérémy Ménez. Despite a mid-season managerial change that saw Carlo Ancelotti replace Antoine Kombouaré, the team ultimately finished as runners-up in Ligue 1, securing a coveted spot in the UEFA Champions League. Leading the charge with brilliance was the Brazilian talisman Nenê, whose phenomenal 21 league goals anchored the attack, earning him the Capocannoniere title and marking a defining, turbulent, and ambitious return to the top of French football.
