Notes

The 2011-12 campaign delivered vital silverware for PSV Eindhoven as The Boeren clinched the KNVB Cup, alongside a strong 3rd-place finish in the Eredivisie that secured a coveted European spot. Spearheading the sensational attack was the newly-signed Belgian star Dries Mertens, whose electric form and 21 league goals proved decisive, a tally that included a historic four-goal haul against Roda JC. Mertens' successful partnership with fellow new arrival Kevin Strootman ushered in a vibrant new era for the club, culminating in a domestic trophy and a memorable run to the Europa League Round of 16.
