The 2012-13 campaign delivered an historic and emotional farewell season for Besiktas as the Black Eagles battled to a crucial 3rd-place finish in the Süper Lig. Leading the charge was the Turkish international Olcay Şahan, whose 11 goals proved decisive in a campaign built on grit and the impending demolition of the historic BJK İnönü Stadium. It was a turbulent year that marked the end of an era and remains a defining chapter in the club's modern history.
