Notes

The 2012-13 campaign delivered a spectacular, triumphant revival for Fiorentina as La Viola, under the guidance of new manager Vincenzo Montella, surged to an impressive 4th-place finish in Serie A. This represented a dramatic turnaround from the previous season's struggles, with the club narrowly missing out on a UEFA Champions League spot. Leading the vibrant, high-scoring attack (72 goals) was the talismanic Stevan Jovetić, whose 13 goals proved decisive alongside the instant-impact arrivals of midfielders Borja Valero (who notched 13 assists) and Gonzalo Rodríguez. It was a breakout year built on Montella's exciting, attacking football that cemented La Viola's return to the European stage with a coveted spot in the Europa League.
