Notes

The 2012-13 campaign delivered a strong season for FC Groningen as The Pride of the North finished 7th in the Eredivisie, securing a spot in the European competition play-offs. Leading the charge was the newly-signed forward Michael de Leeuw, whose 11 goals, which included a memorable hat-trick against Roda JC, proved decisive. It was a positive year that marked a significant climb for the club and renewed hope of a return to European football.
