The 2012-13 campaign delivered a season of thrilling play-off ambition for Northampton Town, as The Cobblers surged to a 6th-place finish in League Two. Leading the charge was their beloved cult hero, Adebayo Akinfenwa, whose 16 league goals and physically dominant play proved decisive in a campaign built on momentum. It was a dramatic year that saw them reach the Wembley Play-off Final, ultimately ending in heartbreaking defeat against Bradford City, and remains a defining chapter for the 'Beast' and the club's modern history.
