Notes

The 2013-14 campaign delivered a superb, yet bittersweet, finale to an era for Borussia Dortmund. Under Jürgen Klopp, Die Schwarzgelben secured a strong second-place finish in the Bundesliga and won the DFL-Supercup, but their quest for a major double ended with a DFB-Pokal final loss to rivals Bayern Munich. Spearheading the spectacular attack was star striker Robert Lewandowski, whose league-leading 20 goals earned him the coveted Golden Boot in his farewell season at the club. The year was also marked by a dramatic run to the Champions League Quarter-Finals, featuring key contributions from Marco Reus, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and a young Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which remains a defining chapter of their modern history.
