Notes

The 2013-14 campaign delivered a devastating end to an era for Doncaster Rovers, as the team, fresh off their League One title win, crashed to a 22nd-place finish in the Championship, resulting in immediate relegation back to the third tier. Under the guidance of Paul Dickov, the Rovers battled hard but ultimately fell short, with their 39 goals scored proving insufficient to maintain their second-tier status. Leading the charge was the reliable forward Chris Brown, whose 9 crucial goals topped the scoring charts in a year built on the efforts of captain Rob Jones and the attacking spark of James Coppinger. It was a single, painful season that remains an unforgettable chapter, marking their brief but difficult return to the elite of the Football League.
