Notes

The 2013-14 campaign delivered a season of renewed hope and strong Championship contention for Ipswich Town as The Tractor Boys surged to a respectable 9th-place finish under Mick McCarthy, their highest in five years. Leading the charge was the talismanic David 'Didzy' McGoldrick, whose phenomenal 16 goals across all competitions, a lethal partnership with Daryl Murphy, earned him the Championship Player of the Month and the club's Player of the Year award. The season was built on grit, ambition, and a genuine push for the play-offs that was tragically derailed when McGoldrick's knee injury prematurely ended his campaign in mid-February. It was a pivotal year that re-established the club as a formidable force in the second tier and remains a defining chapter in the Tractor Boys' modern history.
