Notes

The 2013-14 campaign delivered a heart-stopping, agonizing title challenge for Liverpool, as The Reds finished a breathtaking 2nd in the Premier League, narrowly missing out on the league title for the first time in 24 years. The charge was led by the phenomenal Luis Suárez, whose non-penalty 31 goals earned him the Golden Boot and PFA Player of the Year, alongside the lethal partnership of Daniel Sturridge (21 goals) and the emerging talents of Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho. The team's 101 goals scored was a Premier League runner-up record at the time, but the season is forever defined by the late-season slip of captain Steven Gerrard against Chelsea, marking an unforgettable, if ultimately heartbreaking, chapter in the club's modern history.
