Notes

The 2013-14 campaign was a season of defiant transition for Málaga CF, the Boquerones, as they navigated a turbulent new era under manager Bernd Schuster. Following the painful sale of stars like Isco and a ban from European competition due to financial regulations, the focus shifted to rebuilding. The club battled through a season of highs and lows to secure a respectable 11th-place finish in La Liga. Leading the attack was the veteran forward Roque Santa Cruz, whose 6 goals were vital, while the emergence of promising youth talents like Sergi Darder and Samuel García provided hope for the future. It was a crucial year that successfully secured their top-flight status and laid the groundwork for the club's continued presence in the Spanish elite.
