Notes

The 2013-14 campaign was a tumultuous season of stabilization and ultimate survival for Portsmouth, marking the club's first campaign in the fourth tier (League Two) since the 1979-80 season after successive relegations. The season was defined by off-pitch turmoil and a succession of managers, Guy Whittingham and Richie Barker were both sacked, before caretaker boss Andy Awford famously secured their league status with a perfect five-game winning run that guaranteed their survival. Leading the attack and providing a rare bright spark was the young Jed Wallace, whose 7 goals topped the scoring charts in a desperate year built on the enduring passion of the Fratton Park faithful. It was a crucial, hard-fought year that guaranteed Pompey's professional status and laid the groundwork for their recovery.
