The 2013-14 campaign delivered a season of high drama and relentless effort for Wigan Athletic as the Latics secured a 5th-place finish in the Championship, qualifying for the promotion play-offs. In a marathon year where the club also embarked on an historic first European adventure in the Europa League and reached the FA Cup semi-finals, the attacking charge was led by Nick Powell and Jordi Gómez, who each netted 7 league goals.
