In the 2013 season, Galo achieved historic milestone glory by capturing their first-ever Copa Libertadores title, overcoming a first-leg deficit to defeat Olimpia in a dramatic penalty shootout. Under the tactical guidance of manager Cuca, the squad played an exciting brand of football.
