Notes - Official match day transfer patch as used by Wigan Atheltic during the 2013 FA Cup final held at Wembley on the 11th of May 2013. The Tics shocked the footballing world by making their way to Wembley but also for the game itself. The Latics came up against 5 time winners Manchester City who were hoping to end their season with silverware after a dissapointing league campaign. With the game tied in the last minutes of the game, a corner whipped in from Shaun Maloney met the head of Ben Watson which secured the 1-0 victory and the clubs first FA Cup triumph. Whilst the club was relegated that season, they secured a place in the UEFA Europa League for the following year. This patch is applied around the club crest on the black away shirt they wore.
