Notes

The 2014-15 campaign was a season of profound turbulence and financial distress for Bolton Wanderers. The Trotters ultimately secured an 18th-place finish in the Championship under new manager Neil Lennon, who arrived in October following the sacking of Dougie Freedman amidst mounting fan protests. Leading the line was forward Adam le Fondre, whose 8 league goals proved vital in a year overshadowed by the club's staggering debt of over £168 million and the controversial renaming of their ground to the Macron Stadium. Despite the off-field chaos, the season featured an emotional mid-season return to the club for veteran striker Eidur Guðjohnsen and a hard-fought run to the FA Cup Fourth Round, marking a turbulent but defining chapter in the club's modern history of struggle for stability.
