A clean, classic Nike shirt, this was the first home jersey of the Louis van Gaal era and the last with Nike. It was a season of continued transition at Old Trafford, but the team's showed renewed heart and commitment. The Dutchman splashed the cash upon his arrival at Old Trafford, making several new signings including Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rojo before breaking the record English transfer fee to lure Ángel Di María from Real Madrid. An impressive change in form from their previous season saw United enter the top four from mid-November and remain there for the rest of the campaign, picking up several key results including a 2-1 win at Anfield thanks to Juan Mata’s stunning overhead kick which secured a league double over arch-rivals Liverpool
