The 2014-15 campaign saw Ternana, known as the Rossoverdi, secure a respectable 12th-place finish in Serie B under the steady leadership of manager Attilio Tesser. Leading the charge was the prolific young Uruguayan forward Felipe Avenatti, whose 11 league goals (13 overall) proved decisive in a season built on mid-table consistency. The efforts of Avenatti, alongside fellow top scorer Fabio Ceravolo, marked a year that cemented the club's status in the second tier, providing a solid, if unspectacular, platform for the future
