Notes

The 2014 campaign for Flamengo, affectionately known as Mengão, was a season of dramatic turbulence and vital silverware, culminating in a respectable 10th-place finish in the Série A. Amidst a turbulent year that saw multiple managerial changes, the team clinched a major trophy by winning the Rio de Janeiro State League (Campeonato Carioca) title. Leading the charge in the league was the high-profile Croatian international Eduardo da Silva, whose 8 goals topped the club's Série A scoring chart. Although the club's all-time Série A unbeaten status was maintained, the year was defined by a desperate fight for form and consistency, with the Carioca title serving as a crucial, memorable high point for the passionate fans.
