Notes

The 2015-16 campaign was a season of soaring expectation and a late surge for Arsenal as The Gunners ultimately finished a strong 2nd in the Premier League, their highest league position in over a decade, behind champions Leicester City. Leading the attack was Olivier Giroud, who finished as the top league scorer with 16 goals, including a memorable hat-trick on the final day. However, the season was truly defined by the sensational playmaking of Mesut Özil, whose record-breaking 19 league assists and 146 chances created orchestrated the entire team. While their pursuit of a third consecutive FA Cup ended in the quarter-finals and the Champions League ended against Barcelona, this season marked a vital year of consistency that secured their return to the Champions League group stage.
