The 2015-16 campaign delivered a season of consolidation for Dundee FC as The Dark Blues secured an 8th-place finish in the Scottish Premiership, comfortably clear of the relegation battle. Leading the charge was the prolific centre-forward Kane Hemmings, whose sensational 21 league goals anchored the attack and was key to their status as the "best of the bottom six." It was a memorable year that saw The Dark Blues reach the Scottish Cup quarter-finals and, most sweetly, relegate their local rivals Dundee United with a dramatic 2-1 derby victory, marking a pivotal and defining chapter in the club's modern history.
