Notes

The 2015-16 campaign was a season of ultimate redemption and triumph for Grimsby Town as The Mariners secured a glorious return to the Football League after a six-year absence. They finished 4th in the National League but clinched promotion by winning the play-off final 3-1 against Forest Green Rovers at Wembley Stadium. Leading the charge was the sensational Pádraig Amond, whose incredible 30 goals, which tied the National League single-season record, proved decisive in a campaign built on momentum and grit, and sealed by Omar Bogle's brace and Nathan Arnold's iconic injury-time winner in the final. It was a historic year that ended the club's non-League struggle and remains one of the most defining and emotional chapters for the Blundell Park faithful.
