The 2016-17 campaign delivered a hard-fought season of survival for Bristol City as The Robins finished 17th in the Championship, securing their top-flight status for a third season. The season was defined by the phenomenal loan spell of teenager Tammy Abraham, whose 23 league goals, a Championship-era record for a teenager, proved utterly decisive in avoiding relegation. His spectacular form earned him the club's Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, and Top Goalscorer awards, marking a standout year and a crucial chapter in the club's consolidation under manager Lee Johnson.
