Away shirt as worn when Sevilla finished in 4th place in La Liga, securing a spot in the UEFA Champions League play-off round. Having competed in the Champions League during the season, Sevilla qualified from their group, finishing in 2nd place behind Juventus. The Spanish club were pitted against Leicester City. Despite taking a 2-1 aggregate lead to the King Power Stadium, Sevilla suffered a  2-0 defeat which saw them crash out of the competition. Several new acquisitions shone for Sevilla during the season, notably Wissam Ben Yedder and Pablo Sarabia, both coming in during the summer transfer window and scoring 28 goals between the pair.
