Notes

The 2017-18 campaign delivered an historic and hard-fought Premier League survival for Brighton & Hove Albion as The Seagulls finished a crucial 15th in their first season back in the top flight after a 34-year absence. Leading the charge was the clinical veteran striker Glenn Murray, whose 12 league goals proved decisive alongside the creativity of new signing Pascal Groß, in a campaign built on defensive organisation under manager Chris Hughton. The final emotional high came with a momentous 1-0 victory over Manchester United that secured their status with games to spare. It was a successful year that re-established the club in the elite and remains a defining chapter in their modern history.
